High Peaks Group exists to end the workplace stress epidemic. Stanford Professor Jeffrey Pfeffer, in his book Dying for a Paycheck, said the workplace is the fifth-leading cause of death in the U.S. This is unacceptable.
We need better workplaces for a better world. Workplaces have evolved over time to become centers for stress. But it doesn’t have to be that way. New mindsets, structures, and approaches will help us let go of outmoded ways of working and adopt a more human-centered approach.
